Amla is the Hindi name of Indian gooseberry. All parts of the amla plant are used in Ayurvedic medicines.

Drinking amla juice daily believed to boost immunity, cleanse the system, aid digestion, maintain clear skin, healthy hair and eyesight. 

From the last three months, I am having this amla juice daily in the morning and I am really loving it. It tastes so good you can even have this as a refreshing beverage.

This 3-ingredient amla juice is made using fresh amla as the prime ingredient, followed by fresh ginger, honey, and water.

Amla/Indian gooseberry: The humble fruit is the richest source of vitamin C. It helps to boost immunity, metabolism and prevents cold and flu.

Ginger: The pungent refreshing flavor of the herb helps to enhance the taste of the drink. Ginger has powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. That helps to reduce the risk of infection and improve digestion.

Honey: Honey is a very healthy substitute for sugar. It is packed with antiviral and antibacterial properties.

  • Blend the chopped amlas, along with ginger, honey, and a little water until smooth.
  • Then add the remaining water and blend once again. 
  • Strain the juice using a fine sieve strainer and pour it into two individual glasses.
  • Serve immediately.

  • 3 amla/Indian gooseberry, washed and deseeded, and chopped or ¼ cup
  • 1 inch ginger, peeled and chopped or 1 tsp
  • 3 tablespoon honey or to taste
  • ½ cup filtered water
